Sacred Lands Accompaniment Team

Accompaniment has roots in liberation theology and draws on the Latin phrase ad cum panis, meaning "to break bread with." Accompanists are individuals or groups who walk alongside and support directly impacted people and communities, rather than leading or speaking for them. The role is rooted in solidarity, not charity, and emphasizes horizontal, non-hierarchical relationships built on trust, empathy, and mutual learning.

If you have an interest in joining our accompaniment team, please send us a message and we will get back to you with information about the application and training process.
